SUZHOU, China, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- Matheus Nascimento's penalty at his 100th game in Shijiazhuang Ever Bright handed his team a 1-0 win over Wuhan Zall in the 10th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) here on Friday.

The 37-year-old veteran's penalty helped Ever Bright take the lead in the 42nd minute.

As the interval beckoned, Ever Bright had promising opportunities to test Zall's goalkeeper Dong Chunyu from a free-kick, but Cao Xuan's header flashed inches wide.

Zall tried to add fresh attacking impetus by bringing loanee Dong Xuesheng and under-23 goalkeeper Wang Zhifeng on for the second half.

Despite having the majority of the ball, Zall failed to make an impact as Cote d'Ivoire striker Jean Evrard Kouassi and Dong both squandered chances to level the game.

After the 10th round, Wuhan Zall slipped to the fourth position in Group B on goal difference, while Shijiazhuang Ever Bright moved to the third with 16 points. Enditem
