TEHRAN, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- Iran's army has improved the range of one of its submarine missiles, state TV reported on Sunday, quoting top navy commander as saying.
The army has increased range of the Jask-II missiles, which can be launched by the homegrown Fateh submarine, the Commander of the Iranian Navy Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi told the state TV.
Khanzadi also said that Fateh submarine is a homegrown watercraft with advanced sonar system.
The Iranian commander did not provide details on the range of improved naval missile.
The Iranian navy on Friday fired a submarine cruise missile during a large-scale military exercise in the country's southeastern waters. Enditem
