TEHRAN, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- Interim coach of Iran's Esteghlal FC Majid Namjoo Motlagh said his side is ready to meet Iraq's Al Shorta in the AFC Champions League, Persian Football website reported on Saturday.
"We had more rest time than other teams. This will benefit us for the match against Al Shorta," Namjoo Motlagh was quoted as saying.
"Our players are highly motivated to beat their opponents on Sunday. We are Esteghlal and can benefit from our previous experience in the competition," he added.
The Iranian Blues are scheduled to play Al Shorta on Sunday at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha in Group A of the 2020 AFC Champions League. Enditem
