JAKARTA, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 3,989 within one day to 244,676, with the death toll adding by 105 to 9,553, the health ministry said on Sunday.
According to the ministry, 2,977 more people were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 177,327.
The virus has spread to all the country's 34 provinces.
Specifically, within the past 24 hours, Jakarta recorded 1,138 new cases, West Java 427, East Java 336, Central Java 303 and Riau 298.
No more new positive cases were found in North Maluku. Enditem
