Jordan reports 239 new COVID-19 cases, 4,779 in total

AMMAN, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Jordan on Sunday reported 239 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total confirmed cases to 4,779 with 30 deaths.

A total of 172 recovered patients left hospitals on Sunday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,844, Health Minister Saad Jaber said in a statement.

Jaber said that 13,437 random coronavirus tests were conducted on Sunday, bringing the cumulative number of coronavirus tests to 1,070,621.
