JAKARTA, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 4,176 within one day to 248,852, with the death toll adding by 124 to 9,677, the Health Ministry said on Monday.

According to the ministry, 3,470 more people were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 180,797.

The virus has spread to all the country's 34 provinces.

Specifically, within the past 24 hours, Jakarta recorded 1,352 new cases, West Java 680, East Java 368, Central Java 238 and West Sumatra 181.

No more new positive cases were found in three provinces, namely Jambi, Bengkulu and East Nusa Tenggara. Enditem
