TEHRAN, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- The spokesman of Iran's Foreign Ministry Saeed Khatibzadeh said on Tuesday that the United States government can "no longer tolerate multilateralism" and it is isolating itself "at a very high speed" over its will to reimpose UN sanctions on Iran.
"It is clear that the international community's response to the U.S. was a big No," Khatibzadeh said in an interview published by local daily Tehran Times, commenting on Washington's claim that it has the rights to unilaterally reimpose sweeping UN-mandated sanctions on Iran.
Khatibzadeh said that the U.S. is isolating itself "with a very steep slope and at a very high speed."
"The U.S. has withdrawn from many of the international deals it has signed, which shows that the White House no longer tolerate multilateralism," the official noted. Enditem
