Diplomatic Umuganda held in Kamonyi, Rwanda

Foreign diplomats in Rwanda, Rwandan officials and residents participate in monthly community work, Umuganda, in Kamonyi district, central Rwanda, on Nov. 24, 2018. Diplomatic missions in Rwanda and Rwandan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on Saturday organized a diplomatic Umuganda in Kamonyi. Taking root from Rwandan culture of self-help and cooperation, Umuganda, held on the last Saturday of the month, can be translated as "coming together in common purpose to achieve an outcome," according to Rwanda Governance Board.
