Helicopter carrying Nigerian VP crash-lands in central state

ABUJA, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- A helicopter carrying Nigeria's Vice President Yemi Osinbajo crash-landed Saturday in the central state of Kogi, and everyone on board survives the crash, according to his spokesman.

The vice president's spokesperson Laolu Akande confirmed the accident on his twitter.

Osinbajo is on a campaigning trip to the state for the coming election which will be hold on February 16.

"VP Osinbajo's chopper crash lands in Kabba, but he and the entire crew safe. He is continuing with his engagements and plans for the day in Kogi State," Akande said.
