5.5-magnitude quake hits Drake Passage: USGS

NEW YORK, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- A 5.5-magnitude earthquake jolted Drake Passage at 18:52:50 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 59.4206 degrees south latitude and 60.2514 degrees west longitude.
