BEIJING, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- The Ministry of Civil Affairs (MCA) has confirmed that more remains of Chinese soldiers killed in the 1950-53 War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea will be returned to China from the Republic of Korea (ROK) in 2015.

China will continue to renovate "martyrs' parks" in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and other overseas memorial sites, said Chen Rifa, an official with the MCA, at a press conference on Monday.

The Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) fought alongside the Korean People's Army and tens of thousands of CPV soldiers died.

In 2014, Sept. 30 was established as Martyrs' Day in China and the MCA completed renovation of 838,000 scattered martyr graves and 13,700 memorial sites.

This year is the 70th anniversary of the victory in the war against Japanese aggression, and activities will be held to commemorate the anniversary, said Chen.
