Things are looking pup for dog-lover Kristen Stewart

    KRISTEN Stewart cradles an adorable black puppy in California after losing the dogs she shared with R-Patz.

    The Twilight actress let Rob keep their adopted pooches Bear and Bernie when they split up in May — with sources saying they are still working out joint custody.

    But yesterday the 23-year-old was seen cradling a new furry friend as she headed out to lunch in Long Beach.

    Kristen was wearing her trademark casual look of shorts and a thin cotton shirt.

    Going without make-up, her only accessory was a pale of tortoiseshell reading glasses.

    The dog had a blue collar and lead but Kristen seemed happier to carry the young animal herself.

    She carefully placed it in a car and was later seen alone as she waited awkwardly outside a restaurant.

    The actress is taking a break from filming her new movie Camp X-Ray, about a soldier assigned to Guantanamo Bay who forms an unlikely friendship with one of the prisoners.

    Meanwhile Katy Perry – who was reportedly getting close to R-Patz after the split — has revealed she made contact with Kristen saying she would never “disrespect her.”

    R-Patz spent a week at the singer’s house in LA, and they were spotted at a secret Bjork gig and watched a wedding rehearsal together near Santa Barbara.

    Katy, 28, told Elle Magazine: “I sent her a text message saying,’ ‘I know you’ve seen all this stuff but you know I would never disrespect you.

    I’m not that person. I’m just trying to be a friend to him but it is unfortunate that I do have a set of t*ts.’”
