Richard Gere and wife Carey Lowell to divorce

    Runaway Bride ... twice-wed Gere and former Bond girl Lowell have split after 11 years of marriage

    RICHARD Gere has split from his actress wife Carey Lowell after 11 years, according to a US report.

    The Pretty Woman star, 64, and the former Bond girl had been “spending time apart for quite some time” and now plan to divorce, it was claimed.

    The couple — who have a 13-year-old son named Homer, after Richard’s father — wed in 2002.

    Law and Order star Lowell, 52, who appeared in 1989 Bond flick Licence to Kill opposite Timothy Dalton, is a Tibetan Buddhist.

    She has a 23-year old daughter, Hannah Dunne, from second husband Griffin Dunne and was previously married to fashion photographer John Stember.

    Gere was previously married to supermodel Cindy Crawford from 1991 until 1995.

    A representative for Gere and Lowell has yet to comment.
