LONGSHENG, Oct. 11, 2019 (Xinhua) -- The Longsheng Rice Terraces, also known as the Longji Rice Terraces, are between 600 meters and 800 meters above sea level. Most of them were built some 650 years ago, along the slope from the riverside up to the mountain top.

The rice terraces got the name as they resemble a dragon's scales while the summit of the mountain range looks like the backbone of the dragon.
