BEIRUT, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon's Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned on Tuesday rocket attacks against cities in Saudi Arabia, the National News Agency reported.
The statement described the attacks as "a flagrant violation of national sovereignty" of Saudi Arabia and "a violation of international law" which exposed the safety of civilians to risk.
The ministry welcomed the efforts made by all stakeholders in the Yemeni crisis to reduce escalation and reach a political solution that secures an end to the conflict.
Saudi Arabian air defenses intercepted two ballistic missiles on Saturday night launched by Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi group towards Riyadh and the city of Jizan, the Saudi state news agency SPA reported on Sunday.
