SUVA, May 5 (Xinhua) -- The Nakasi Modern Village Development Project, or the Nakasi City, was launched on Friday, reflecting the huge potential Fiji has in attracting investors.
Parveen Kumar Bala, Fijian Minister for Local Government, Housing, Environment, Infrastructure and Transport, officiated the ground-breaking ceremony of the project in Sauniwaqa sub-division of Nakasi.
Bala said the project would benefit Fiji and the Asia-Pacific region.
A media release from the country's Department of Information said the 356-million-U.S. dollar project would be built on an over 645-acre land, jointly by investors from South Korea, China, Canada and China's Hong Kong. Enditem
