JAKARTA, May 17 (Xinhua) -- The governments of Indonesia and Lithuania agreed on Wednesday to step up cooperation on trade and investment.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo and President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite met at the State Palace and witnessed the signing of deals on bilateral cooperation on renewable energy development and energy conservation, and transportation.
"We agreed to strengthen cooperation on trade and investment. And we also expect the negotiation on the Indonesia-European Union Comprehensive Partnership Agreement can be concluded soon," Widodo said after their meeting.
Under the agreement, Indonesia aims to increase shipments of products and services to Europe.
