LONDON, June 2 (Xinhua) -- British Prime Minister Theresa May's response to U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to pull his country out of the Paris climate change agreement was severely criticized Friday by political opponents in Britain.
The leader of Britain's main opposition Labor party, Jeremy Corbyn, accused May of a derelict of duty by not condemning Trump.
Given the chance to present a united front from our international partners, she has instead opted for silence and once again subservience to Donald Trump, Corbyn said.
It's a dereliction of both her duty to her country and our duty to our planet, he also said.
May has expressed her "disappointment" to trump and reiterated Britain's commitment to the deal, according a Downing Street statement.
