PARIS, June 4 (Xinhua) -- French citizens are among the victims in the London attack Saturday night, and France is doing everything possible to help them, the French presidency said Sunday in a press release.
France will "continue with all its strength to fight terrorism alongside the United Kingdom and all the countries concerned," said French President Emmanuel Macron.
Macron expressed his "most sincere thoughts at this painful moment," to the victims' families and their loved ones, adding that the attack that struck London a few days after that of Manchester, is "another abominable and cowardly attack against our free societies."
In collaboration with the British authorities, security measures will be strengthened in London for the first round of France's legislative elections on Sunday for residents abroad, according to the French president.
Macron is in contact with the British authorities and is kept informed of developments and the elements of the investigation, according to the Elysee.
