BEIJING, June 5 (Xinhua) -- China's service activity expanded at the fastest pace in four months in May, a private survey showed Monday.
The Caixin General Services Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) rose to 52.8 in May, up from 51.5 in April, the strongest reading since January's 53.1, according to the survey conducted by financial information service provider Markit and sponsored by Caixin Media Co. Ltd.
A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while a reading below 50 represents contraction.
