Provisional results show Rwanda's Kagame wins re-election: electoral commission

KIGALI, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Rwanda's National Electoral Commission (NEC) on Saturday released provisional results of the presidential elections, saying that Paul Kagame won re-election in Friday's polls.

Earlier Saturday, the commission released results for 80 percent of the votes cast, with Kagame winning 98.66 percent.
