Typhoon Noru makes landfall at Wakayama prefecture in western Japan

TOKYO, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Typhoon Noru, the fifth one of this season, made landfall at northern Wakayama prefecture in western Japan around 3: 30 p.m. local time (0630 GMT) on Monday, said the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).
