TEHRAN, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- The Iranian national soccer team will play a friendly match with DR Congo as a part of preparation for the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia, local media reported on Tuesday.
DR Congo sits above Tunisia, Guinea and Libya in Group A of Africa 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
Iran is also scheduled to face Russia in Saint Petersburg on Oct. 10.
Iran has already booked their spot in next year's World Cup finals as they sit seven points clear at the top of Group A in Asian Zone qualifying tournament.
