Serbian Red Star held 1-1 at UEFA Europa League

BELGRADE, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- Serbian Red Star were held 1-1 by Belorussian BATE Borisov here on Thursday in the first game of the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.

Red Star's Nemanja Radonjic scored in the 54th minute on Slavoljub Srnic's well placed assist.

Belorussian team evened the score in the 72nd minute when Mirko Ivanic's long pass found Nikolai Signevich, who substituted Aleksandr Volodko in the second half.

In the second game on Sept. 28 Red Star will play against Koln in Cologne, Germany, while BATE will host Arsenal in Borisov, Belorussia.
