HO CHI MINH CITY, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- The Vietnam Cuisine Culture Association will be set up on Oct. 11 in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said Sunday.
The association is to preserve and develop Vietnamese gastronomy and relevant traditional festival and promote them to the world, according to the ministry.
To date, 115 organizations and individuals operating or involving in cuisines have registered to become the association's members.
The future association has planned to hold Vietnamese Tet (lunar new year) Festival in December 2017, and Royal Cuisine Exhibition in central Hue city in January 2018, to build up Vietnamese gastronomy standards, and to organize training courses for chefs and bartenders.
