Tunisia set to host 24-team Mini Football World Cup

TUNIS, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- The 2nd edition of the world Mini Football Federation World Cup will be contested from October 6 to 15 in Tunisia.

Almost everything is ready for the tournament except that in Nabeul, there is a few small work for the new stadium with a capacity of 5,000 seats, said Achref Ben Salha, president of the organizing committee.

Twenty-four teams have qualified for this event.

Group A: Czech Republic, France, Argentina, Australia

Group B: Mexico, Hungary, Chile, Iraq

Group C: Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Somalia

Group D: United States, Spain, Senegal, India

Group E: Romania, Kazakhstan, Cote d'Ivoire, Guatemala

Group F: Tunisia, Portugal, Libya, Lebanon

For the system of the competition, the first two of each pool and the four best 3rd will advance to the 1/8 finals.

The United States hosted the first edition in 2015 and the Americans won the title after beating Mexico 5-3 in the final.
