HONG KONG, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- More than 20 sailors from the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan on Wednesday celebrated the Chinese traditional Mid-Autumn Festival with Hong Kong's primary school students.

At Po Kok Primary School in Hong Kong Island, the American sailors were welcomed by hundreds of students who showed them the Chinese traditional culture and how to make lanterns.

The nuclear-powered USS Ronald Reagan arrived in China's Hong Kong on Monday for a five-day port call.

The port call allows some 5,000 sailors aboard the aircraft carrier to resupply their warships and take rest by turns. Besides, the sailors will also interact with local communities including the celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival which falls on Oct. 4 this year.

Rear Admiral Marc Dalton, commander of the Reagan Carrier's Strike Group, said he will visit the Chinese People's Liberation Army Garrison in Hong Kong during the stay.
