SINGAPORE, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) falling 0.31 percent or 10.47 points to close at 3375.97.
A total of 1.88 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.22 billion Singapore dollars (about 894.72 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 238 to 211.
The STI index closed up 0.9 percent or 30.19 points to close at 3386.44 last Friday.
