Xi'an-Chengdu high speed railway enters inspection phase

The Xi'an-Chengdu high speed railway enters the inspection phase on Monday. The designed speed for the railway is 250 kilometers per hour. It is estimated to be put in operation before the end of 2017, which will shorten the single journey time between Xi'an and Chengdu from 16 hours to 3 hours. (Xinhua/Tang Zhenjiang)
