South China's Hainan provincial tourism promotion group successfully held “Experience Hainan” campaign in London recently.
Regarding Britain as an important market, Hainan aims to expand its tourist market through display of its abundant tourism resources and products.
A British tourist, who has been sojourning in Hainan, flew to London to share his life experience in Hainan.
“Hainan’s fantastic scenery and delicacies attracted me very much,” he said, adding that the longer he stayed in Hainan, the more wonders awaited him.
Representatives from British tourism industry also attended this campaign.
They indicated that Hainan, with its rich array of tourism resources, is a magnet for European tourists.
They are also planning to head for Hainan to know more about Hainan’s tourism environment and culture.
Nick Newman, business manager in London Office of China Southern Airline, noted that efforts will be made to provide easier access for the tourism exchanges between Britain and Hainan.
Direct flights will be launched in the near future, he revealed.
During a dinner party, Hainan’s local opera was performed to make its culture better understood by British audience.
