JAKARTA, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Peace and stability in Syria should be achieved through dialogue and inclusive political process, an Indonesian foreign ministry official said Friday.

"All related parties should refrain from violence action and protect human rights," foreign ministry spokesman Arrmanatha Nasir told reporters here.

The spokesman said United States' unilateral action without the United Nation (UN) permission is not acceptable.

U.S. warships launched over 50 Tomahawk cruise missiles at a Syrian military airfield in the center province of Homs at dawn Friday.

Indonesia also called on Syria to open all access to humanitarian assistance and urged the UN to take necessary action for conflict resolution.

Indonesia also condemned the alleged use of chemical weapon in Syria that killed dozens of civilians earlier in the week.

"Indonesia as a signatory to the chemical weapons convention refuses the chemical weapons usage for whatever reasons," he said.
