Chinese, Jordanian premiers exchange congratulations on 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties

BEIJING, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and his Jordanian counterpart Hani Al-Mulki on Friday exchanged congratulatory messages to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

In his message to Al-Mulki, Li said the bilateral relationship has undergone substantial development for the past 40 years, with frequent high-level exchanges, deepening mutual political trust, fruitful achievements in practical cooperation, and good communication on major international and regional issues.

Li noted that in recent years, China and Jordan have established strategic partnership, with their cooperation in various sectors expanding constantly in both breadth and depth.

China is willing to make joint efforts together with Jordan to enhance the traditional friendship between the two countries and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields for the benefits of the two peoples, he said.

In his congratulatory message, Al-Mulki said Jordan and China have always shared views on international issues, with joint commitments to achieving and maintaining peace and security that is in dire need in the Middle East.

He said that Jordan will continuously advance the bilateral relationship and is committed to further enriching the contents of the ties with China.
