LANZHOU, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Tang Renjian was appointed deputy governor and acting governor of northwest China's Gansu Province Tuesday.

The decision was made at a session of the Standing Committee of the Gansu Provincial People's Congress, which also accepted Lin Duo's request to leave the post.

Tang, 54 and a native of southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, was deputy director of the central rural work leading group before moving to work in Gansu in April 2017.

Tang is also currently deputy secretary of the Gansu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China.
