Xi reaffirms commitment to further open Chinese economy to foreign investment

BEIJING, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday called for enhanced efforts to allow foreign investors easier access to China's key sectors via a "negative list" approach.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks while presiding over the 35th meeting of the Central Leading Group for Deepening Overall Reform.
