HEFEI, June 5 (Xinhua) -- The captain of a boat that capsized in east China Monday morning is now in police custody, authorities said.
The boat, which was captained by the suspect Wang Qihua, sank in a river in Jiangzui Village, Huoqiu County, Anhui Province. So far, rescuers have pulled seven people out of the river, of whom four were confirmed dead at the scene.
Onboard the vessel were farmers from Huoqiu County, according to the provincial transport department.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
