Silk Road Int'l Expo brings Serbia full range of opportunities: Serbian vice prime minister

BEIJING, June 5 (Xinhuanet) -- The 2017 Silk Road International Exposition will bring Serbia a full range of opportunities due to communications between China and Serbia, Serbian Vice Prime Minister Rasim LJAJIĆ said Saturday.

He made the remarks during an exclusive interview with Xinhuanet as the event's Guest Country of Honor.

Leading a high-powered delegation, which includes entrepreneurs from more than 20 Serbian enterprises, Rasim LJAJIĆ deemed this exposition as a precious opportunity to introduce Serbia’s traditional culture, rich tourism, cultural resources as well as economic and trade products to China.

He also pinned high hope for pragmatic cooperation between the two countries, spanning from corporate collaboration, to cooperation of people from all walks of life.

The cooperation between China and Serbia has been booming and energetic, Rasim LJAJIĆ said.

Chinese companies are undertaking some major transportation and infrastructure projects in Serbia, together with Serbian enterprises, including power plants, roads, railways and so forth, he introduced.

We look forward to seeing more cooperative projects signed, and put into place in the future to inject impetus to the development of China-Serbia relations, Rasim LJAJIĆ said.

The exposition, held in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, from Saturday to Wednesday, aims to push forward the economic and trade cooperation of countries along the Belt and Road.
