DUBAI, June 21 (Xinhua) -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday condemned the terrorist attack on the central railway station in the Belgian capital Brussels, according to the Emirati official WAM news agency.
"The UAE condemns this cowardly act of terrorism," the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Abu Dhabi said in a statement.
"The UAE's firm stance rejects all forms of violence and terrorism which targets all without discrimination between religion and race, regardless of its origin," the statement said.
The statement also stressed "the UAE's solidarity with the Belgian government in the face of violence, terrorism and extremism."
In its statement, the ministry called on the international community to join forces to confront this serious scourge and uproot it, which threatens the security and stability of the countries of the world.
