Czech Republic beat China 4-1 in Silk Road Cup U-16 soccer tournament

WEINAN, China, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Jin Yihang's header gave host China some hope but Czech Republic won the match 4-1 in the 2017 Silk Road Cup CFA international U-16 soccer tournament here on Monday.

The visitors' midfielder Antonin Svoboda scored the opener in the 3rd minute through a long-range shot. Martin Simek and David Stetka enlarged the advantage in the 8th and the 15th minute.

China coach Liu Junwei had to substitute three players in the 27th minute.

After the interval, Adam Hlozek dribbled into in the penalty area and netted the fourth goal on 55 minutes.

Five minutes later, Jin Yihang's close-range header gifted China the first goal at this year's Silk Road Cup.

Enjoying the cheers of more than 12,000 spectators after the goal, the host made a few chances by Liang Shaowen and substitute Aifeierding Aisikaer but failed to score anymore.

Earlier in the day, Uzbekistan drew with Japan 1-1. Boburbek Sabirov's long-range shot in 39th minute helped Uzbekistan to break the tie. Japan equalized in the 90th minute from the mistake made by the opponents' goalkeeper.

After Monday's games, Japan topped the standings with two wins and one draw. Czech Republic and Uzbekistan placed on second and third respectively. China stood at the bottom with three losses.
