LOS ANGELES, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Warner Bros.' presentation of Christopher Nolan's epic war film "Dunkirk" continued to lead North American box office with an estimated 28.13 million U.S. dollars in its second weekend.

The World War II drama has earned 102.83 million U.S. dollars in North America after just 10 days in theaters. It also marched to 45.6 million U.S. dollars this weekend from 63 overseas markets for a global combined total of 234.1 million U.S. dollars, according to studio figures collected by comScore.

The Emoji Movie, from Sony Animated Pictures, opened in second place with an estimated 25.65 million. "The film took advantage of a lack of family fare in the marketplace for a solid weekend performance despite the critics," wrote movie analyst Paul Dergarabedian at comScore in an email to Xinhua. The American 3D computer-animated comedy film directed by Tony Leondis stars the voice of Anna Faris, James Corden, T.J. Miller, Patrick Stewart and Sofia Vergara among others.

Universal's "Girls Trip" moved to the third place at the North American box office. The comedy film brought in another 20.08 million U.S. dollars in its second weekend and 65.5 million U.S. dollars through Sunday after 10 days in release.

Focus Feature's "Atomic Blonde" landed in the fourth place with an estimated 18.55 million U.S. dollars in its opening weekend in North America. Sony's "Spider-Man: Homecoming" finished fifth with an estimated 13.45 million U.S. dollars in its fourth weekend.
