RABAT, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- Morocco on Tuesday strongly condemned the "abject" terror attack in Burkina Faso, which killed at least 18 people.

In a message of condolence to Burkinabe President Roch Marc Christian Kabore, Moroccan King Mohammed VI voiced his full solidarity with and support to the western African nation, while wishing the wounded speedy recovery.

The Moroccan diplomatic mission in Burkina Faso said no Moroccan national was among the victims of Sunday's terrorist attack.

On Sunday night, a group of gunmen attacked a Turkish restaurant in downtown Ouagadougou, the capital city of Burkina Faso, leaving 18 people dead and as many people wounded.
