THE HAGUE, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- A pop concert at the Maassilo concert hall in Rotterdam was canceled by police on Wednesday, with the concert hall and organizer Rotown stating there was a terror threat.

The police have not yet confirmed the terror threat, but are on the scene. The building is being evacuated and dozens of people who wanted to attend the concert, which hadn't started, are being told to leave. The capacity of the concert hall can hold about 1,000 spectators.

There was a concert scheduled by Allah-Las, a U.S. pop group from California. The name of Allah-Las, according to the band members, has no religious link. They just wanted something that sounds "holy".

The Turkish-Dutch group Altin Gun was supposed to open the show.
