WARSAW, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- Russia lifted the title of 2017 European Men's Volleyball Championship in Krakow, southern Poland on Sunday evening.
The Russian team defeated Germany, who reached the European final for the first time, 3-2 for the crown while Serbia defeated Belgium 3-2 to win the bronze medal.
The 2017 event was held in various Polish cities, including Krakow, Gdansk, Katowice and Szczecin from August 24 till September 3.
Teams from 16 countries and regions took part in the 30th edition of the tournament, organized by the European Volleyball Confederation every two years.
