Albania sets up new ministry for protection of entrepreneurship

TIRANA, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- Albanian government on Thursday announced the establishment of a new ministry tasked with the protection of entrepreneurship.

Sonila Qato, former head of Property Registration Office, will lead the Ministry of Entrepreneurship, which will play as a key bridge between business and state, said the government.

And according to Council of Ministers' decision, the mission of the State Minister for Entrepreneurship Protection is to assist and protect the private entrepreneurs operating in the Republic of Albania.

The establishment of Ministry of Entrepreneurship was one of the requirements set by the business community before elections.

The current Albanian government was elected in June 25 elections.
