BEIJING, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- China's southern regions are expecting heavy rain in the coming days with some storms, the national weather observatory said Friday.
The National Meteorological Center (NMC) forecast moderate to heavy rain in regions including Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan from Friday to Sunday.
The rain belt will then gradually weaken as it moves northward. Light to medium rain is also be expected in Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and Heilongjiang, among others.
The NMC predicted gales and temperature drops in central and eastern regions. Temperatures will fall as many as 12 degrees Celsius in some areas.
