Dollar inches down to near 112 yen line ahead of U.S. inflation data

TOKYO, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell to near the 112 yen line Friday in Tokyo as market awaited the U.S. inflation data due out later in the day.

At 5:00 p.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 112.00-01 yen compared with 112.24-34 yen in New York and 112.22-24 yen in Tokyo at 5:00 p.m. Thursday. It moved between 111.86 yen and 112.30 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.1828-1830 dollars and 132.48-52 yen against 1.1825-1835 dollars and 132.77-87 yen in New York and 1.1867-1868 dollars and 133.17-21 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon.
