MINSK, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- The Council of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD) has decided to grant Belarus the fifth tranche of a 200 million U.S. dollars financial loan after fulfilling two prerequisites, the Council said on Friday in its press release.

The Council decided that in order to receive the next tranche Belarus "needs in the very near future" to accept the president's decree on transferring of at least 20 state-owned enterprises of the republican subordination to the communal ownership.

In addition, the Belarusian authorities should agree to include the adoption of the law "On Insolvency or Bankruptcy" as a benchmark indicator in the terms of the seventh tranche.

In connection with Belarus success in achieving macroeconomic stabilization, the Council of the EFSD granted exemption on the two previously proposed conditions for obtaining the fifth tranche: on the maximum threshold of broad money supply and on the restriction of the share of the public sector in the production of gross value added.

Belarus signed a loan program to receive a 2 billion U.S. dollars loan from the EFSD in spring 2016. Belarus has already received 4 tranches, or a total of 1.4 billion U.S. dollars.
