WINDHOEK, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- Namibia's football rivalry with Zimbabwe will resume when the two lock horns in the friendly Hage Geingob Cup slated for Nov. 11 at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek.

The Hage Geingob Cup, which is in its fourth edition, honors the Namibian Head of State for dedicating his efforts and contribution towards the development of sport.

Namibia's football coach Ricardo Mannetti announced his 23-man squad on Monday, saying his squad had conducted their first training session and three foreign-based players that include Peter Shalulile, Denzil Hoaseb and Larry Horaeb have been retained in the team for experience and depth.

"On paper Zimbabwe looks stronger, they are bringing in players from England and South Africa and for me it is not a problem. We want to give the African Nations Championship (CHAN) players as much game time as possible. But we also still want to do well and win the Cup. The pressure is on Zimbabwe to come to the party. We are the underdogs and we will work our socks off," he said.

Zimbabwe are expected to jet into Namibia on Friday and so are the match officials from South Africa.

Meanwhile, despite the upcoming fixture, Mannetti said his mission and focus remains the CHAN finals taking place in Morocco in January 2018, while Zimbabwe's focus remains on the AFCON qualifiers that resume in March 2018.
