NEW DELHI, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Indian and Canada began their fourth annual ministerial dialogue in the national capital on Monday, focusing on some of the key commercial drivers to enhance the bilateral partnership.

The dialogue was led by India's Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu and his Canadian counterpart Francois-Philippe Champagne, an official release said.

"Efforts would be made to work towards the expeditious conclusion of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) for a progressive, balanced, and mutually beneficial agreement covering both goods and services," it added.

The trade ministers of both countries are likely to discuss issues to explore ways of expediting the early conclusion of the CEPA and the Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement, the release said.

India and Canada's merchandise trade stood at 6.13 billion U.S. dollars in 2016-17.
