SARAJEVO, Nov.17 (Xinhua) -- EU integration and rising living standards of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and Macedonia were in the focus of the meeting between the leaders of the two countries here on Friday.

The host of the meeting, BiH Chairman of Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdic emphasized the joint projects that involve regional cooperation and the initiative to establish airlines connecting the capitals of BiH and Macedonia.

"We will send the requests to airline companies soon. Currently, we are preparing the protocols concerning the travel of citizens of both countries by using the ID cards," Zvizdic told reporters.

"In the forthcoming period, our intention is for the Western Balkans to become the part of the EU," Zvizdic added.

For his part, Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev stressed that the cooperation between BiH and Macedonia should be used to increase exports of goods to the EU market and to improve the citizens' standards of living.
