Visits to royal crematorium for late Thai king extended until end of December

BANGKOK, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Members of the public in Thailand are given more time until the end of December to visit the royal crematorium earlier used in the cremation ceremony for the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Culture Minister Vira Rojpojchanarat said on Wednesday King Maha Vajiralongkorn has approved the extended period for the public viewing of the royal crematorium from Nov. 30 to Dec. 31.

The public are allowed to visit the magnificent crematorium at Sanam Luang ground next to the Grand Palace from 07:00 a.m. local time until 10:00 p.m. local time daily.

A total of 2,387,800 people, including 11,726 foreigners, have visited the royal crematorium between Nov. 2 and Nov. 28, the culture minister said.
